Green Cross Veterinary Products Co., Ltd. (GCVP) announced on the 17th that it has donated its veterinary medicines, including GVAX DHPP Injection, to support the overseas animal medical volunteer program organized by Veterinarians Without Borders (VWB) in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Veterinarians Without Borders is an international volunteer organization engaged in activities such as medical support for animals in shelters, animal care in underserved rural and island regions, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs for stray cats, neutering of outdoor dogs in rural areas, and advocacy for animal welfare policies. The organization also carries out global initiatives to eradicate zoonotic diseases such as rabies.

For this volunteer mission, GCVP donated GVAX DHPP Injection—a vaccine effective against canine distemper, infectious hepatitis (adenovirus), parvovirus, and parainfluenza infections—along with Duravet-25 Injection, a long-acting broad-spectrum antibiotic, and Spotline, a topical antiparasitic treatment for the prevention and control of external parasites. These medicines were used for neutering surgeries, treatment, and vaccinations of disabled and rescued animals under shelter care.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, GCVP recently redefined its corporate mission to “Better life with healthy animals”, emphasizing its ESG-driven commitment to building a healthier coexistence between animals and people. Beyond this donation, the company actively contributes to animal welfare through its in-house “Value Green Volunteer Corps” and by providing veterinary medicines annually to veterinary volunteer clubs at Seoul National University and Konkuk University, among others.

GCVP stated that it will continue to promote animal health and welfare while fulfilling its corporate social responsibility (CSR) through a wide range of ESG-based initiatives and community engagement programs both domestically and globally.
