13th Social Contribution Awards Selects 19 Companies Leading Social Contribution and ESG Activities

The 13th Social Contribution Awards, hosted by Digital Chosun Ilbo and sponsored by Chosun Ilbo, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Win-Win Growth Committee, aims to recognize exemplary companies and institutions that help build a better society through meaningful social engagement.The awards were established to promote sustainable and strategic CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities and to strengthen the global competitiveness of Korean enterprises by identifying and publicizing organizations that lead positive social change.

This year, 712 companies and institutions were shortlisted as candidates based on research data from the Chosun Media Group, the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare, as well as each organization’s social contribution white papers and sustainability reports, collected between January 8 and 19.

Subsequently, the judging panel conducted a comprehensive evaluation from March 23 to 25, assessing CEO commitment and participation in social contribution, strategic approaches, program implementation and execution, and both quantitative and qualitative outcomes of social contribution activities.Following this process, 19 companies and institutions were ultimately selected as award recipients for their exemplary leadership in social responsibility and ESG initiatives.
